Day 27... MyFitnessPal

The only great thing about being sick is not being hungry, now I'm feeling better and ready to raid the fridge.. sigh. Anyways, I am almost myself again and back at it, or at least the food part of it. I don't plan on hitting the gym until Saturday. So today I tracked everything via MyFitnessPal and I was pretty impressed with how easy it is to use which of course means I had to download the iphone app.

Day 26....Sigh..

Well, I'm having a rough month it seems. The first week went swimmingly and then there was the snowpocalypse  and then my SO came for a long weekend and now I have a nasty cold. Just ughhhh! I did finally update last week's weigh-in which wasn't a complete tragedy not that a gain is ever a good thing but I expected to be up, but then I also expected to be hitting the gym hard this week, so not happening.

So I think I'm getting back on track finally, but I still don't thinking I'll be earning any activity points for a few more days. Hopefully I can lose at least a few ounces before weigh-in. Tyler now has the same scale I bought last week, of course I actually had to pay for mine, since I'm not famous and all.

Day 21....life happens

Well between the snowpocalypse and an unplanned vacay, life is coming at me from both sides! My Mr. lives in a different state and he is here for a long weekend, which means more food and no exercise. By the by, I suck at LDRs but thats a whole 'nother post. I see the Mr. about every 6 weeks, hopefully as the year goes on I will learn to handle all this wining and dining crammed into 4-5 days and we will definitely be getting some exercise once the weather picks up and we can start hiking again.

Anyways, we went to the Biltmore House yesterday and it was pretty darn cold  in NC! I will catch up with everyone after the weekend and tell ya how much I love the new scale I bought!

Day 15....Weigh-in Week 2

Its been a ROUGH week! I've basically been snowed in since Monday, and pretty sure I've already ranted and whined about that. I've been bored, hungry and not able to hit my workout classes. So its a huge understatement that this week has been a struggle. Somehow by the grace of God I managed to lose 1.2 pounds, or at least that is my best guess.

I have bounced from scale to scale this week and ended up returning the cheap one I bought and I'm currently waiting for Amazon to ship me out another digital demon. So this week's weight is based on yesterday's weight before the now returned scale went all wonky on me and started giving me false numbers. 199 sure is a nice number to look down and see, but unfortunately not an accurate number. Sigh.

In light of picking up speed again this week, my goals are:
  • Drink 40 oz. of water daily
  • Workout 5 times this week
  • Less bread more veggies

Day 14...Fitness Goals

I have slacked all week and that includes my eating, my exercise and my attitude. Being under a state of emergency is my #1 excuse, but really there is no excuse for not taking care of me. Everytime I think this is so hard I remember that normal people do this everyday, they hit the gym and skip the cookies because thats what you need to do to be fit and healthy. No shortcuts, no whining. Just do it.

So I wonder is the weight holding me back or is it just an easy excuse that allows me to sit on the sidelines instead of being in the thick of it and living the life I was meant to live. I have considered running a 5K many, many times and yet I always find a reason not to. I spend hours bike shopping and always end up thinking that's not me. Why waste money on a great bike when I'll be too much of a chicken to spend hours and hours riding it. And now adding to the list is the warrior dash and once again I have a long list of excuses as to why I'm not gonna do this, but my inner skinny chick she wants to be a warrior...
